Hi, I took the NCLEX-PN on 3/21/09 in CA, it stopped @ 85. Tried the Pearson trick, wouldn't let me register, but I still have 2weeks to wait for results...ahh the torture!Anyway, my question is, if some people didn't pass at the minimum, why didn't the computer give them more questions to atleast give them a chance?Thanks in advance.

If you fall below that 50% line, you fail, that is why the computer will not give you more questions.

caliotter3 38,333 Posts Apr 5, 2009 The criteria for a pass/fail decision can be met at the 85 question mark. If the decision model has not been satisfied at 85 questions, more questions are presented until the criteria are met.

rachpeeps 45 Posts Apr 8, 2009 I took my test the same week 3/23, and I am in CA, the wait is killing me too. I tried the pearson trick and it would not let me register. Hopefully that a good sign, when I left the testing facility I thought I failed for sure. My question is, for any of those waiting in CA have any of you called the state to see what the time line is for getting our results. I have heard that they are behind and it may take longer than 4 weeks to get our results, I HOPE NOT! I got a really good job today but I cant start till I get those results! I cant wait any longer!
chong714 22 Posts Apr 9, 2009 5 week wait about in ca right now... i took mine 3/6 and still no results.. friend took it feb 23rd got his around march 20th... yea... but he failed and he stopped at 85 so now im nervouss =(
