Visa stuff

There should be an Immigration Section on this forum :)

I was wondering, if someone with F-2 Dependent visa applied for change of status to F-1 but got denied, can that person still stay in the country legally with F-2?

Thanks..

There will not be any immigration forum as we are not immigration consultants. We only give personal advice or post what can be read on the country concerned government website.

Some questions better to ask directly to a immigration lawyer/consultant

I understand this forum is not for immigration consultants, but there are people asking about H1B, EB, F1 etc, and simple questions can be answered by people who has gone through it, or are knowledgeable about it, just for the person asking to get a general idea... it was just a thought :)

That's kind of what this is.

Answer to your question: it depends. Talk to an immigration lawyer.
