visa screen

hi, I have a US tourist visa and will expire next year. Im a NCLEX and IELTS passer just this year. Im now here in US for a vacation and I applied for visa screen even without employer.Will the visa screening affect my renewal of tourist visa? Is the USCIS will know that i applied for it and how many months is the processing for visa screen? thanks Shy

    Takes approx 4 months to be issued a VSC and is valid for 5 years. You can not however AOS at the moment and change your status once you find a employer.

    thanks but what about my other question. if ever i cant find an employer before my renewal of tourist visa, will it affect my renewal of tourist visa because I applied for visa screen?

    No should have no effect on your tourist visa. However remember that it is up to the officer at POE to allow you into the country and they may have issues unless you have plenty of proof when visiting the US that you plan on returning home when your visit is up.

    This is my opinion and not to be classed as immigration advice.

    Good luck finding an employer as many domestic new grad RN's are having a hard time finding work. Your best bet is to either gain experience at home or find another country as you'll be waiting many years at the chance for a visa even if you find an employer.

    Hi, I checked the California BON website and find out that they have the fee for ICHP Visa Screen and the fee for certified copies of school transcripts. Did anybody know or ever requested the board to send the transcripts to CGFNC to get the VSC process started.
