Versant Programs 2014

Hey!

Everyone who has applied to any Texas Versant Programs for 2014. Let's all chat here. I am going to be a Graduate Nurse in May. I have applied to various Texas Versant programs including: Texas Health Resources, Children's Medical, Parkland. If you've reached this post, you're searching the internet looking for more information too. It really helps when we can chat back and forth. Who knows maybe we'll be coworkers one day! Hopefully we can all keep each other informed during the process. Fingers and toes crossed! Good Luck everyone!!

I feel the same way you do but we can't give up.

Keep your head up everyone! Everything happens for a reason. We're all going to get positions and the exact positions that we are meant for. I know I sound cheeseball and probably too hopeful! But, with how hard we've all worked, we can't get down now! :) xo

I know and I truly believe everything happens for a reason. I am just worried that the longer I go without a job, the less attractive I will be to employers. I'm trying to keep faith though that the position I was meant for is out there somewhere. I just really thought it was the NICU one. Maybe it still is, just not at this time.

Anyone know where they are still hiring GN's around the DFW area ?

Have you tried HCA I see they have some internship postings!

Yes keep the faith. Have you already had your first job? Have you looked at other areas just to get your foot in the door? Don't worry you'll get hired just be persistent and keep updating your resume and tweaking it to make sure you're including everything and that you have all the right keywords for applications. Realistically you got to the interview which is amazing and a lot more than a lot of people can say. So, keep practicing your interview skills.

Does anyone know if the THR Surgery position was filled? Mine still says "Application in Review Process"

Has anyone heard from Children's Medical Center Dallas or Methodist Dallas?

Also, one of the THR positions says "On Hold" anyone have any insight?

I had an interview with methodist Dallas, Wednesday, but didn't get it

Mine went from interviewing to onhold then back to interviewing don't know what it means. I had an interview last week and heard nothing so far!

I heard from a lady at Parkland that its best to apply to thier GN positions once you have passed boards. she basically made it seem like they don't even look at apps for those who havent passed yet!!
