Vanderbilt PMHNP Program

Hi! I was wondering if there was anyone who has graduated or is currently enrolled in Vanderbilt's PMHNP program?

On the website it says it's a distance learning program, however, on a separate page it says if you have 1yr+ of RN experience it's distant learning, but if you have <1yr experience it's on campus. I'll be going straight from BSN into an MSN program and I have no issues relocating, I was just curious as to if on-campus was an option or not. Personally, I would rather be on-campus rather than doing online training.

Also, any tips or recommendations for the application process?

Thanks!

Congrats on your acceptance, I wish you the very best!

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you; sorry that I'm no help haha! I have a question of my own though?

I'm looking into Vanderbilt's BSN to DNP PMHNP program, and I am confused as well as to the in-person requirements. In my case, I have 1+ years of experience and I live out of state so I would go the online route. However, I was looking at the block schedules and it seems that I'd have to fly in for a several days 4 times per year....so I'm confused. If you find more info please let me know, I'd really appreciate it!

It’s about one year FT if you already have a BSN. You have to go to campus 3 times in the Fall, 3 times in Spring and 2-3 times in the Summer. They have a webinar on their site with more information. My dream to attend the program.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that it’s about 1 year if you apply with a BSN, which is what I would do. That’s great to hear, thank you so much for the information!
