Valencia concurrent UCF fall 2011

Hi! I just got the acceptance letter that I was accepted into Valencia's concurrent program with UCF for the fall of 2011. Just seeing if anyone else is gonna be in it with me!

My gpa is 3.5 and teas was an 80. Are you in the program?

I was admitted into the Fall 2011 VCC/UCF Concurrent program!! I'm so excited!! I know when I was first accepted into VCC Spring '12 Nursing class, they said we would have a nursing orientation... do you know when we will hear about the orientation for the concurrent program?

I got into VCC/UCF Concurrent for Fall also! Yay!! I am SOOO excited!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone:o)

If you don't mind me asking, when was the VCC/UCF application period? I have applied to the SSC/UCF Concurrent program for Fall 2011 and just curious when we will begin receiving our letters. Thanks!

I am currently admitted to Valencia Summer 2012 start. Does Valencia's concurrent program select the students for the program, or do I have to apply for the concurrent program?

From my understanding, you have to be personally invited to apply by UCF. I had applied for UCF Spring and Accelerated Program and didn't get in due to its high competition. Then I received an email from UCF encouraging me to apply to the concurrent program, so I did and luckily got in:o)

So, I would definetly apply to UCF as well. Since you are suppose to be starting next Summer, I am unsure as to how often the concurrent program with vcc and ucf will take place( once or twice a year im unsure) but if UCF likes your scores, and you dont get into their BSN program, they will invite you for the concurrent, which is just 1 sememster longer than if you were to get your BSN at UCF, so its def worth it! Plus with all the hospitals now going towards magnet status (meaning they will only be looking to hire nurses with bsns) you are making a statement for yourself:o)
