Vacation

Hi everyone, here's the scenerio. When I interviewed for my position I told them I had a vacation coming that I couldnt reschedule and if my vacation was an issue then I would start when I returned. I started 2 weeks ago it was 2 weeks of clasrrom traing, 2 weeks of 7a-3p and 2 weeks of 11p-7a. My schedule was given to me yesterday and of course my vacation wasnt on there so now there is an issue. I need them to resolve it asap. I was told they were never told about the vacation now we're both in a uproar. Im ****** bc Personell didnt say anything and scheduling is ****** bc Personel doesnt have the authority to say yes. I was told to call out if they dont handle it. The VP of our union said she would back me up if they try to use it against me. Im just praying everything works out for me:confused::uhoh3:

Sorry this happened to you. It happened to me once years ago. In the future, consider getting things like this in writing.

Personnel/Human Resources of a hospital is unlikely to have anything to do with the nuts & bolts of a particular department/unit's schedule. Ideally, this should have been addressed with the department/unit in which you work.

Lesson learned. I hope it works out for you.
