I applied for an "intermittent" position at the local VA hospital. Is intermittent the same thing as PRN?

From what I understand, yes it is.
I figured. Do you know if they look at apps as they come in or wait until the closing date?
Depends on the posting. If its a short window they wait until the closing, a long window I do not believe they wait. No matter what it is not a fast process.
No surprise there. I have talked to a few people who did get in relatively quickly so maybe (hopefully) this will be one of those times.

I'm not sure about "intermittent" being a PRN position. My VA doesn't have any on-call/PRN nurses like other hospitals do. When I was a CNA, I had an intermittent position. I had a set FTE, but no benefits.
Ah I see. That is disappointing. On the job description it says nothing about being full time, just says the schedule is evenings from 330-12.
