Hi guys im gonna take my Nclex RN exam probably Mid august and i've been using Uworld as my primary study source. Ive seen a lot of tet takers that passed using It and accdg to them they answer 75-100 questions a day. I currently work as an LVN in a nursing facility full time and on my off days i can only answer maximum 50 questions. I answer 25 qd first, read the rationale then i relax and answer another set of 25s again. Reading the rationales takes me too long coz i write down notes of some things i wanna remember. On work days i only answer 25 qs after work and that's just what works for me. If i do 75-100 qs i get a headache because i have to read the rationales afterwards. Dont get me wrong i have no problem answering lots of qs but i wanna be able to read the explanations for all of em. Are there any nurses here that studied this way????

i study 75 -100 questions a day and everyday since may 26. Its not unusual for me to sit and do uworld (writting rationals also) from 10 am to 6 pm. Question is have you done your uworld asessment? Also, are you doing system by system? I am currently doing system by system as i feel it is easier to cluster my notes. Half way through the qbank i did my assessment and scored 73 percent and 94th percentile so that gives me hope that the hard work is paying off. My advice is to do system by system and as long as your learning i say that is great. keep us updated
THANKS for your reply. Im not doing it system by system because i wanna prepare myself to answer random questions as much as possible. I dont know what's wrong with me but i can only answer maximum 50 questions on my off day and 25 qs whenever i have work. I feel that im slacking because everybody that used uworld answer 75-100 qs a day lol
Naw bro there is nothing wrong with you.... You work so i hope you can take it easy on yourself, but i can see you want to improve on the number of questions you currently are taking thats good too. Do what you can. When is your nclex date?
im planning to take it mid august. I used to answer 100 questions a day when i was studying for Nclex PN but I wasn't working at that time. I guess i need to atleast answer 50qs.

Im in the same situation. I work as an LVN too and studied at work too. I took time off cause it was really hard to focus studying, working and taking care of kids all at the same time. I just finished Uworld and going over all the questions and rationales again. I suggest you go by system, its easier to retain and remember the topics that way. The first few weeks I only do 20questions in each set, then i moved up to 30, 35 then 75. I try to finish 150 questions/day. Also if you can, try to read and answer the questions in La Charity Prioritization and delegation. I'm taking the test next week. Good luck to us!
Goodluck!!! You finished the whole qbank so i think you should be okay! Some other nurses they only finished 500 qs and still passed. And yes its hard to focus studying if u work full time. I don't even wanna answer questions whenever im at work because there's too much distractions. Thats why i answer atleast 25 to 30qs after work. Goodluck to me

Hi, I am also taking my NCLEX-RN in mid August...I had to actually create me an 8 week study plan and abide by it all cost. I am a visual person so if i create a schedule it would be easier to keep track of my studies and progress...I am using MARK KLIMEX audio, UWORLD and LaCharity. I also have some notes that i read over like a "must know" and i can definitely send you my study plan so maybe you could create your own or get an idea. I am also a LVN and works full-time. Best of luck to you!!!

Hello NurseJaxx726,
Can you please email me any extra info you have, I'm struggling between work and children trying to pass this Nclex RN, I'm also a LPN in NYC with the hardest workload and trying to do Uworld questions.
[email protected]. Thank you

I used UWorld for about 2 months. The NCLEX is scary, that's all I have to say.
