UWorld?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello. I'm of the few that is taking the NCLEX from my class. (I live in P.R. and we take a different test to be licensed here) I failed my first attempt and now am going to be taking it again in January. I'm a little scared. I've been doing uWorld this month and my overall score is about 44% (I know it's bellow average on their tests)

What do you think? Am I gonna be able to pass if I keep with UWorld? Should I do something else? I dont't have money for another review :(

I'm open to tips and suggestions.

I have the same dilemma like you. So far on 3 sets of 50 questions I got 48%, 58% and 50%.

Perhaps do some sort of content review for two weeks then jump back on UWorld. I personally used UWorld as my ccontent review; for every question i got wrong or was unsure of, i typed the key points out of the rationale.

Ended up with a boat load of notes but it definitely helped in solidifying the topics i didn't understand. I did this for a month finishing the whole bank with an overall average of 54%. Did the whole bank a second time to further solidify everything then did the NCLEX less than a week later and passed.

Studied exactly two months and 8 days, pass first try as an international grad, just have to trust in UWorld, good luck.

Oh also used NCLEX mastery and lacharity PDA in that time, those were helpfull also.

So freaking nervous. Any tips on all the med doses and the mcg/kg/hr and stuff. That is my weakest part. Not horrible at it eaither.

thank you. I am taking notes too and going over them. I have a crap ton of papers haha. I'm hoping to pass second time around. Congrats on passing :)

I am a bit more than halfway through the questions. Writing down notes on the things I get wrong so I can go over them later. I am very nervous.

Good luck on the rest of the reciew and the NCLEX!!!

Thank you! Update us when you take your exam. I'm going over my previous tests afterwards to review again.

Thank you for this one!

I just took NCLEX on monday and passed with 130 or so questions. I only used UWORLD and focused on systems only and then leadership and then infection control. Later then I would do a a mix of them all. Also get the La charity book and make sure you practice select all that apply. I had over 50 sata questions!

Best of luck!

Congratulations

Also forgot to mention i answered the questions one system at a time.

I took my test on Monday and found out I passed on Wednesday.

I went all the way to 265 questions and it took 5 hours for me to completed the test. I thought i failed for sure. 80% of my test was SATA, some hotspot, EKG and Drag and drop. NO med calculation at all. A lot of safety and infection control questions. Luckily i reviewed Saunders's safety and infection control chapter right before i entered the testing center. I used UWORLD, Kaplan, Lacharity, NCLEX mastery and Saunders and the 35 pages study guide that floating around on here. It's important to review the rationale of each question.

Good Luck, everyone!!
