UWorld?

Hello. I'm of the few that is taking the NCLEX from my class. (I live in P.R. and we take a different test to be licensed here) I failed my first attempt and now am going to be taking it again in January. I'm a little scared. I've been doing uWorld this month and my overall score is about 44% (I know it's bellow average on their tests)

What do you think? Am I gonna be able to pass if I keep with UWorld? Should I do something else? I dont't have money for another review :(

I'm open to tips and suggestions.

Hi.. congrats.. how can i purchased the la charity book? Thanks

Hi you can find them used but its best to get new because it comes with a code to access to practice tests online. They are in the book to, but I found the online version really helpful. This book was a requirement in my program. It helps a great with prioritization!

Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment, 3rd Edition - 978

What do you mean system at a time? You took it system by system? Because I started mine with all subjects and all systems, I'm done with 350 questions. But now I'm trying to do it per system.

You've gotten some really good advise from previous posters. I passed NCLEX in June in a little under an hour with 75 questions.

My school required us to use ATI, but I purchased a one-month subscription to UWorld on my own based on comments made about the site on this web site. It was the best $59 I ever spent.

Like others have already stated, write down the rationales for all of the questions you either get wrong, or don't understand. Study these notes every other day prior to going to sleep. Keep in mind that NCLEX is a test of safety. So when you take the actual test, always be thing about patient safety.

Also, treat studying for NCLEX like a job. Study five to six days a week and have a start and stop time (just like a job). I promise if you do these things, and remember you are taking a test on safety, you WILL pass.

Good luck and best wishes as you embark on your nursing career.

The PDA la charity is a book or qbank? Is it enough if i used UWorld alone without scanning my books? Because my book is very thick...

I am just finished UWorld and took notes on everything. All 1,900 (don't remember the number) in one month. Phew!

My test is on Jan 4th and this time I feel more confident. I agree with the "Best $59 I ever spent" I love this review and it's rationals :) all I need to work on is my calculations and I'm set. So excited!

What's your final percentage at the end of 1,900 questions? I'm done with 200 questions already and I'm sitting at 50% overall performance. I'm still reviewing the one that I answered before I continue to do the remaining questions.

Hey PaolaBSN

I'm also from PR, took my nclex on December 2, got to 75 questions, I felt horrible during the test and thought I failed, found out on December 4 that I pass my nclex and yesterday they postex my license # on the NY BON.

For studying I used UWorld, their rationales where easy and they have tons of questions for you to practice, I did at least 1300 with an overall of 57%.

Tip- Do NOT get nervous about your overall score, you know more than you think.

PS- Where you from in PR and where you graduated? Feel free to private message me if you don't want to post here.
