UWorld- when to start it?

For those of you that had success using UWorld to prepare for NCLEX, how far in advanced would you recommend purchasing it?

I graduate in May and plan to take NCLEX about 3 weeks after. So I just want to know when I should start using UWorld.

Its different for everyone. It also depends on how long of a subscription you can afford.

Also, there is no guarantee you will take your exam 3 weeks after graduating. I graduated december 17 and didnt get my application approved to schedule a test until jan 30th.

Thanks for the feedback!

I graduated in December, didn't receive my ATT until the beginning of January and was able to take nclex on 1/22, which was over a month post-grad...so really there's no guarantee when you'll be able to test.

I purchased the 6 month subscription back in august for u-world and used that as my main study tool not just for nclex, but all my nursing school classes and the exit hesi (scored around 1100 on exit hesi thanks to u-world)

I purchased U World about 1 week after graduation. I took a small mental break then started up. It just depends on how many hours you want to study and what you can afford at the time. My school had ATI so that consumed most of my time during school so I would have not had a lot of time for U World while still attending clinical and class.

I took two weeks off from studying after I graduated to relax a little bit. I used Uworld for about 4 weeks before I took the NCLEX, doing 60-100 questions a day. I didn't receive my ATT until over a month after I graduated, so there's no guarantee on when you'll take it. I definitely recommend taking a short break from studying right after you graduate, I passed in 75 questions!

Thanks so much!

I'd say start ASAP. I used it on-off throughout my senior year and used it every day the month before I took the test and I passed at 75 earlier this month. The sooner you start practicing, the better prepared you will be.

Everyone is different. I didn't buy UWorld until I got my authorization to test. I graduated mid December and got my ATT February 7 and studied for 2.5 weeks. I bought the 3 months subscription with 2 assessment tests. Best money ever spent.
