Hi, thanks for your response! I finished my interview about a month ago and I'm now waiting for the decision. How do you feel about this program so far?

There's a lot to be said (both positive and negative) since we are only on the second cohort. Do you plan on attending the preview day in January?

What is the Preview day? I did not receive any notification about this event. However, I am a current senior here (college of agriculture), so I am very familiar with the campus in general. To be honest, I don't feel confident about my chances as I pretty much screwed up my interview ?

I believe they are scheduling the preview day on January 9th (because they had sent an email out asking if any current students could be present to answer questions). However, it could just be that they haven't sent this information out just yet, so don't feel bad! Do you know when you're supposed to be getting a decision back by?

That makes sense... I think the decision will be released around 20th. It is possible that they will send this info along the acceptance letter.

I would imagine! I don't think they would send it before people receive decisions, for obvious reasons. If you don't mind me asking, what do your stats look like? I'm sure you did better on the interview than you think!

Thanks so much for your encouragement! ?

My stat is overall good. I major in Biology and Psych and my overall GPA is 3.9. I got mostly A and one AB for my prerequisite classes. I feel ok about my background (hospital volunteer and internship, research, scholarship, etc.) but the interview made me feel so bad... As the interview invitation stated "no preparation required", I went without much preparation because I had many midterms going on at that time (bummer). I can't believe I did that! All other students in the group interview seemed to be well-prepared, except for me. ?

Your stats seem very good and definitely communicate you can hold your own academically! What about your in-person interview left you feeling under-prepared? Did you run out of time answering questions or do you feel like others' answers were just more thoughtful?

I was really nervous and thus spoke way too fast, which I believe made my answer less organized because I felt like I was literally saying all kinds of things out of my head without enough time to process them. I even stuck in one of my answer for 5 seconds and said "sorry" before I continued... While I listened to others, I felt they spoke slowly with confidence and their answers were thoughtful!

They understand that this can be pretty nerve-wracking and people just tend to speak faster with nerves! Try not to feel too badly about it. They really do consider applicants from a holistic perspective, so even if the interview was not as stellar as you'd hoped, the rest of your stats being so strong certainly will help ? I personally had lower academic stats than you, but was complimented after the fact by those in my group who were also admitted on how confident and composed my answers were during the interview. So they definitely consider everything.
