UTMB Spring 2017

Hello to all! I am applying to UTMB in Galveston for the Spring 2017 start. I have not seen any posts about this particular semester, so I thought I would reach out. Any body applying, gotten information, how was your TEAS test, pre-reqs, etc.?

I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Personally, this is my second degree as I have my first in Business Management & Entrepreneurial Studies. My mom is a nurse and has inspired me in so many ways, and I am excited to see where this journey leads me.

I made an 82.7% on my TEAS V and I am pretty nervous about this as I am not too sure how it compares or what the norm is. I hope everyone is having good luck in their application process and let me know how it is going for ya'll?

    Did anyone else's "compliance training" disappear off of their To-Do list without them ever having actually done any training?

    Yes, way more competitive but only because they don't look at volunteers, internships, certifications, etc. However, if you look online and compare both, it will tell you pros and cons of both UTMB and UTHealth, can also do that with TWU. Best of luck wherever you decide to attend and best of luck to those who are attending. #Futurenurses

    My goodness! How did you get waitlisted at UTMB but got accepted to UTH? Isn't UTH supposed to be more competitive?

    I got accepted to UTMB, TWU, and UTH. Will probably stay with my UTMB acceptance.

    Honestly, I have no idea which school is the best. I want to decline the other 2 schools so that others may hurry up and get off the waitlist.

    Yes, one of my friend got in couple days ago and she was on the waitlist. :) and she interviewed end of sept or beginning of oct. I hope this helped :)

    I interviewed for the waiting list near the end of September, and I still haven't heard back from anyone. Not an email, or a letter, or a call. Is there a place or a website I could visit to see if i am on the waiting list or not? Thanks.

    They (Katherine Rosen at UTMB) told me that you could get called and taken off the waiting list as late as the first day of school.

    Yeah we got our schedule last friday and people are getting the books on utmb fb page now until first couple weeks of school. Parking passes we can't get until first week of school because we need our badge for it. :) I hope this helped :)

    I made some fb friends and I been talking to roommate but thats about it. You should join the the fb page for utmb son class of spring 2018. :)
