UTMB Fall 2018

I was granted early admission today without an interview. I didn't actually know they even sent these out so I'm not exactly sure what they were looking for when they decided it. All the people I know in the BSN program currently at utmb had interviews and then were admitted! Heres what the email stated: "...Based on your strong academic background, you have been accepted as an EARLY ADMISSIONS student into the Fall 2018 BSN Traditional Nursing program..."

I was granted early admission today around 1:30!! Overall GPA: 3.79, TEAS overall: 87.3% with a 75 and above on each section!

WOW!! congrats to everyone who is getting interviews and acceptances. I am getting so worried. I havent recieved anything yet and no changes on MYSTAR either!! AHH! SO NERVOUS!!

I submitted mine on the deadline, which I think was Jan 15? And submitted my supplemental around Jan 25? I received an email to interview on Monday. My interview is March 22.

Same for me. I have yet to receive any communication though, but I realize it's a long process and it is still early.

Yes! Such a long process that seems to have no true pattern.

Does anyone know any good places to live near UTMB? I don't even know where to start to look for an apartment/ roommates lol.

If I get accepted, I will be looking in to Alvin or pearland area. I don't want to go all the way in to Galveston, because if I end up getting my clinicals in downtown that'll be a hell of a drive. Plus, my fiancé works by memorial area and I can't make him drive that long.

I interviewed today! And like the past forums say the interview was very laid back! The lady that interviewed me was super nice as well. The questions that they ask are really basic nothing out of the ordinary. Why do you want to be a nurse?.. Stuff like that. I thought there was going to be more people but I was the only one there in the waiting room. I was told I'll probably be hearing back in about 6 weeks! My interview was about an hour long too! (50min)
