UTMB Fall 2016

Does anyone know how they determine which wave of interviews someone is in? Do they do the best candidates first or is it random?

Im assuming the first wave of acceptance would be UTMB's first pick in students. As prospective students choose not to attend they offer those spots to applicants next on the list.

Just to make sure I'm not missing something.... Are y'all receiving the notifications via your personal email? Do you have a UTMB email?

Okay, so I'm not going to panic or anything just yet lol. Email for the interviews goes to our personal email that we put in our application right?

I don't have a UTMB email even with the mystar account so I'm assuming it is through a personal email right?

I received my interview invite via private email, but I did have an issue about a month ago with them not having the correct email for some reason. I had done the application and the supplemental and when I was supposed to receive the mystar information I didn't get anything and had to call. So as long as your received the mystar log in they should have your email.

Okay thank you!! I think if I don't hear anything by the end of March, I may give them a call.

Does anyone think I need to be concerned about my stats? Everyone in this forum so far seems to have a significantly higher gpa and teas score. Also, do they select students on a first come first serve basis based on when the application was submitted? I had everything out together except my personal statement so I only submitted my application on the day it was due. And I finished the supplemental application about two weeks ago. Just waiting to hear back for an interview at this point.

My GPA is about the same as yours I have a TEAS score of 94%. I have an interview this Friday. I wouldn't worry! (:

I have similar stats. I do have a previous degree from out of state, I'm not sure if that was taken into account. I also submitted my application on the due date. I know last year interviews came out every two weeks, and from what I can tell the first wave was just last week. I wouldn't be too concerned! Hope this helps!

I called again yesterday and was told decisions will be sent by the end of April.
