UTMB Fall 2013

I got wait listed!:) So so excited to even be considered in such a competitive program! Keeping faith that I will get my acceptance soon! Good luck to all!

So what do we do if we got wait listed? Do we submit everything now or wait until we hear more? And also, does anyone know how many people they usually take from the Waitlist?

I've heard the waitlist 10% of the class size. I'm not sure how many they accepted though.

I think you wait and keep your papers ready. That way if they do call you, you have your stuff ready to go.

What was all you wait listed people stats?

Overall gpa: 3.2 when I applied, it's 3.35 now

Science: 2.8

Teas: 78

Overall GPA: 3.6, 3.7 now.

Science GPA: 3.5

teas overall: 76%

science section: 60%

that's probably why I didn't get in.

I've been following this since January when I applied smh lol, I also got waitlisted today, I also emailed and found out that they do not disclose your place on the list, but anyways...

My Stats were:

Overall: 3.38

Science: 3.32

TEAS: 72.7 (64.6 Science)

I also just graduated in May with my Bachelors in Biology(Chem minor), but decided nursing was an excellent field for me personally to go into and also because it's so much room for advancement.

I was missing about 5 pre req's when I applied, I was wondering is everyone else here finished w/ there's?...I'm thinking that may be a good reason why I was waitlisted. Btw good luck to you all!!!

My gpa is waaaay lower than yours and I also got a 62% on the science section so I'm guessing, like everyone said, they actually do look at everything.
