I'm assuming you haven't heard anything about the honors program as well, beyond the letter last week. Or have you?

Was everyone who has gotten letters so far met the criteria for the honors program?

@clementine17 I emailed when I got the letter and got a reply that I would "hear something in about a week." But hopefully the info will have some sort of timeline and how many people in general I would be up against for those few spots.

Good question! I'd love to know. Might calm my nerves about not getting anything in the mail today...

I just got an acceptance letter too! It was just a one letter though nothing attached. Also, my My Star status has not changed either.. However, I just realized I have a major dilemma! In the letter it says you must accept by March 22, but I won't have heard by UT-Houston by then. I live in Houston and would rather not move to Galveston, but if I got into the honors program, I would be able to because I would have a scholarship. UT-Houston is my number one choice but UTMB's honors program could change my mind.[/quote']

How do you know you won't hear back from UT Houston by then?

UT Houston has been saying they won't be sending out letters until April 15th. I've read past UTHSC pages and figured out that people start to get notified about 2 weeks before whatever date they say, but 2 weeks before April 15th won't be in time for the March 22nd deadline. Also, since the honors program is a whole separate application process, I'm sure its going to be a while before I know about that too.

I think maybe everyone who was eligible for the honors program got automatic acceptance letters (because UTMB isn't stupid and realizes that with THOSE grades, they are a GREAT applicant, especially at other universities) then after the "deadline to respond" date passes, then they will know how many spots they have available for those people who didn't get honors.. Maybe..?

Congrats to those who got accepted as well! For those who haven't received it yet, please don't lose hope! As some of you are saying, the school may be sending out the acceptance letters to those who apply for the honor's program. And, if I hear anything about Mystar status, I will let you guys know. :)

Yes, I did. My sister did as well. Such a big relief! I couldn't really celebrate with my family last night because I was so worried! haha! I cant wait till you guys hear back and we can celebrate and be happy for ya'll too!
