UTMB Fall 2012

HI! I am applying for the traditional BSN program at UTMB that starts Fall 2012. I am taking my TEAS this friday and I wanted to know if anyone else here is applying for the same semester. Hopefully there are others so I don't have to be nervous alone!! :D

this might sound stupid but was the accept button on the left side?

Mine showed accept or decline on the right side. I took a pic of it so I wouldn't think I imagined it.... Lol!!

did your mystar turn into the admitted symbol? ahhh now i'm freaking out.

LOL, even if u accidentally hit decline, juss call Liz on Monday (or email her now) & tell her u accept. it'll be alright

if you accepted, then it turned to incomplete again, that is normal. It means that you still have outstanding information - such as transcripts from courses in progress, or left to take. You will receive a packet by snail mail in a few weeks where you can confirm your acceptance again, in writing, so there will be no question! Relax, breathe, and enjoy your victory!!

RNME81, mine pretty much looked the same with the exception of more options to look at in the future for registering for classes im assuming!

When did y'all have to get new passwords? When I logged on yesterday I still had my same log on info.

Enrollment services will send you an email probably later this week about different login information for your actual mystar account that you will use to register and see financial aid and things like that!!

My official letter came yesterday! So now it is really real! I sent it right back in case anyone changes their mind! lol

It surprised me, because it says that I only have 2 outstanding classes (which I am taking right now) and that I have fullfilled my elective science credit and philosophy(woot!). I guess they took my Astronomy credit for sci elective and my Contemporary Moral Problems for my PHIL credit from UT Austin. I was hoping they would, but registered for classes this Summer just in case. Now I don't have to take any classes over the Summer!!! YEAY!!! I had gotten into TX State nursing as well, but was going to have to take 14 hours over the summer to finish pre-reqs. That is crazy!

However, I'm still thinking of taking Pathophysiology at San Jac South over the Summer to get a jump on the fall semester classes at UTMB. All the upper classmen seem to think it helps a lot. What do you guys think? Is it worth the $325 + book?

Rmegster - I took Patho at Central last semester. I'm unsure as to how assistive it is yet, but I've heard the exact same thing. Some have told me that it just makes Patho a bit easier than if you didn't take it. But I've known people who didn't take it who did fine in the class, so it's hard to know one way or the other. I took it just in case it did, but I was using it as my elective science.....

To all you guys out there still WAITING for interviews or acceptance emails... I just got off the phone with an admissions coordinator and she told me that there is still another round of interviews to come shortly. But before that takes place there is about 25 spots left to be filled by people that have already interviewed. After the committee meets again and picks the last 25, there will be another 'round' of interviews.

Hopefully we'll hear some more good news shortly, hang tight everyone!!
