I'm applying to UTHSC for the spring as well.

My teas score is a 78

Math/science: 3.56

Overal: 3.5

I applied this past fall and got waitlisted and didn't end up getting in. But since the last application cycle my score and gpa went up

Those are really good scores. I think you will be able to get in, especially if you were able to increase your gpa.

As of right now I'm applying to UIW but if not accepted then I'm going to wait until after the UTHSC deadline and retake my TEAS to get a better score and then I'll re-apply to both UTHSC and UIW.

Teas: 76.7

Overall GPA: 3.528

Math/Science GPA: 3.85

I applied to UIW back in mid-may and haven't heard anything yet. I'm getting super anxious.

What I have noticed from past posts is that acceptance letters are sent usually around September. I'm getting nervous about the teas scores, because the averages are increasing each semester. On the UTH website when the new TEAS VI came out the average of the applicants for this fall semester was around an 83.

I applied to UIW for the fall 2018 cycle and did not get accepted. My stats were incredibly high, I was going to graduate from UIW and would be an alumni. Had a 3.7 GPA and I was not offered even a wait listing spot. Doesn't matter how high your stats are, there goal is to accept a lot of their own pre-nursing students and those already on the track and in the major at UIW. Best of luck!

I just got done done with Rising Senior Day at UIW and I asked the nursing instructor about their requirements and she said that to apply you need a 2.0 but that the lowest GPA they have ever accepted was a 3.5

Interesting, I know people who have applied with me and have gotten in with a 3.0-3.3 and they are pre-nursing at UIW. So that may not be entirely true for everyone. Even on previous forums people talk about getting I with a lower GPA. Just depending on everyones situation, everyone has different circumstances. So don't get discouraged anyone.

Hi!!

I'm applying to UTHSCSA for Spring 2019 too. I'm also applying to UT Arlington AO BSN, A&M Accelerated BSN, and Texas Tech Second Degree BSN. My stats are:

TEAS: 87.3

Science GPA: 3.34

Overall: around an 3.5-3.7, not really sure right now haha

I have my Bachelor's degree from UT Austin in Nutrition, but I don't know if they'll really care about that

I'm pretty stressed about getting accepted, but I'm just trying to get over the stress and get my application finished! Good luck you guys :)

I just submitted my application. I'm hoping I get an acceptance this time around

Those are really good scores. I'm pretty sure you will get in!!

I am applying to UTHSCSA for Spring 2019 also and I am totally nervous. I have been trying to find out when to expect a letter of notification which is how I came upon this thread; though a previous comment answered that for me so sometime next month. Fall 2019 would be ideal for me since they offer evening classes yet I didn't want to miss a chance in trying this round. Wish you all luck!

TEAS: 83

MATH/SCIENCE: 3.6

Cum. GPA: 3.47

I called UTHSCSA the other day and spoke with the receptionist and he said the acceptance emails will probably be sent out around mid September to late September. Now, I hope that is not true and that it will come earlier. From past forums it seems that people were getting acceptance letters towards the end of August.
