UTHSCSA Spring 2015

I haven't seen a thread for the Health Science Center in San Antonio, so I decided to create one since I am curious as to when we will find out if we are accepted or not. I am very nervous! I really want to go to this school but I know a couple of people that didn't get accepted from previous terms that had a better GPA or a better TEAS V score than I do. I am praying!!!

Mine said just August as well, but dig7's email said August 29th. I kinda figured we'd get it this week since this is the last week in August. Good luck to all that are still waiting on your 2nd email. Fingers crossed for you all!!!

I saw earlier post saying that on the second emails they received it said that the supplemental app would be emailed by 8/29...

I am still waiting.. I hope to get my email tomorrow!

I'm sure the email is on its way! I bet you all can't sleep. I was like that last night.

Has anyone else heard that if you receive supplemental application, then you're very likely to be accepted? Not like 100% but very likely? I've seen people mention that in threads from the previous years.

Does anyone know how accurate that is?

I think it depends on how many applicants there are. If there are only a few then basically everyone who qualifies gets a supplemental then gets in. This year there are quite a few so everyone who qualifies still gets the supplemental but I don't think it's an automatic in

My understanding is that if you receive the supplemental e-mail, then your TEAS and GPA passed muster. People have had issues with background checks and things in the past so it doesn't guarantee your slot, but I think it's a good indicator that your application looked good.

Hello my soon-to-be classmates!! Hope eveybody gets the email soon :)

In the meantime, I would love to hear your opinion regarding apartments in the San Antonio area (I live in Houston). Right now my top 2 apartments are Promontory Pointe and Boardwalk Med Center. If you know about those two or know others please let me know :) keep in mind I am a 20year old girl, and I will be living alone so safety is the most important thing for me to consider :) thank you!!!!!!

Totally understand how you feel since I'm at the same age :cat: I have a couple friends who live in Promontory Pointe. We visit them every once in awhile. The apartment itself is safe, nice and pretty the parking lots can be a little limited, but you should do fine since you'd most likely use only one vehicle. The medical center area is actually a nice part of San Antonio, the traffic gets bad in the evening, but hey that applies to everywhere right? I personally think the area is really convenient and safe, and there are also a bunch of good restaurants and fast food places nearby!

Nothing here, still.

Keeping my finger crossed for you! I'm sure you'll hear good news today, tomorrow or possibly on the 28th, just don't lose hope
