I have applied to UTHSCSA and UIW Fall 2018... is there anyone else who is applying or has sent in their apps?? What are your stats?

Thank you for that info, I know the Rediclinics at HEB do the TWINRIX for about $180-$190 plus any other additional fees for the service administration. They also do take insurance.

I went with the health department because it was $10 lol broke college student at the moment

I understand, i might opt out for it. But, i have my shot records that show i was vaccinated in 1993.. i wonder if i just need a titer? So confused. $10 is cheap! Mine is $60 after insurance lol

When i spoke to the nurse he explained it as you get your Hep B shots as adult when you work in the health care setting because we are more at risk of being exposed to the disease. So our shots as an adult are kind of like a booster. If that makes sense lol?

I applied to UTHSCSA only and my stats are TEAS 80.7, overall GPA 3.633, and math and scienceGPA of 3.77

what are your stats ?

Im so nervous and hope I get in!! :nailbiting:

EDIT

Recalculated my math and science GPA consisting of the right classes for the math and science GPA..

A&P I/II, Nutrition, Micro, Chem I/II, College Algebra, and Statistics.

I took Nutrition, micro, and A&P I as Honors courses so I hope that helps :/

I called them one time and asked if being in PTK for honors would help and they told me it didn't matter to them... so you might want to call! What did you recalculate??

No biggie I took those courses in honors as requirements to graduate as a honors student :)

I was calculating my math and science gpa including my psychology classes and sociology which was putting me at about a 3.5.

But I read they calculate AP I&II, Micro, Nutrition, chemistry I&II, college algebra, and statistics, so with those I have a 3.77.

Yes!! They do a GPA with every single course you've taken and a GPA just with math and science reqs. If you go onto NursingCAS and download your app that has been turned in, scroll all the way to the bottom, they will have your cumulative GPA from every single course :)

SOOOOOO... UTHSCSA said they will send out acceptance/denials april 1st. And UIW said they will be trying to set up interviews at the end of the month and hopefully make decisions by mid-March! I am way too anxious to wait so much more longer lol

Yes, I called... bahaha april fools letters lol

I called both schools... My first school of choice has now changed since the best nursing schools of 2017 in texas came out! So I bugged UIW first and they said interviews at the end of Feb, decisions by Mid-March. I called UTHSCSA second and they said that letters would be sent out on april 1st (I tried to be like "Ohhhh, so by April 1st" and they shot that down and said "ON april 1st). I've scoped out previous blogs too, they found out March 6th last year for UTHSCSA. It just sucks because you have to know where you are going because of deposits and such.
