UTA Fall 2013

14 really easy questions. The 2 I missed were silly. And it covers very basic into that was covered in all the readings.

It was super easy. I hope they are all like that. lol.

For all of you that jobs at hospitals; how did you get your job? I am having the hardest time even getting an interview for entry level positions. I have applied to so many within THR system and had one interview for a PRN position. The only problem was it was strictly days, which wasn't listed and strictly days does not work for me; I could do on occasion but I really need nights. On the other hand, my transfer credits from the fall have finally posted. Yay!!

PRN, take it, with PRN you decide when you want to work. I got on at Medical City PRN working in Food and Nutrition. It is hard to get on unless you know someone. Ask everyone you know and ask them to ask everyone they know.

I applied to soooo many jobs that when THR called I did not even know what it was for. Interviewed for PRN but was offered full time ! Best thing that ever happened to me since having my kids! Keep trying!

Is anybody else having problems with UTA updating their transcripts? I have been so persistent calling admissions around 2-3 Xs a week to have them update my grades from the fall with still no luck. They must be really behind or something. Is that normal for UTA or am I the only one? I applied to quite a few other nursing programs and UTA is the only one I am having issues with.

I had the same issue with them this week. I applied to the RN-BSN program and the have only updated one of my two transcripts despite the fact that they were both mailed in the same envelope! I called and they said they had received both but MyMav hasn't been updated. They just don't update it often from what I gather.

violach...i'm a little nervous too. started reading and taking notes today. The class seems a little complicated but we'll see Monday

I'm thinking Pharm and Patho at the same time may not have been the best idea. Luckily with Pharm I have a couple of week to read everything before a test and then I think there are only two assignments due prior to the test and they don't look that bad. I haven't look to deep into Patho yet, but if I remember right it is not as spread out as Pharm.

I printed up all of the Intro documents for Patho, but I haven't had a chance to go over everything in detail yet. From what I read so far, it looks like there will be several assignments and exams every two weeks.
