UTA Fall 2013

I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.

Someone on another thread made this spreadsheet for those who applied to the On-Campus & AP programs/Fall 2012 start date. It shows who was accepted/denied/waitlisted (it is based on those who posted their info on the discussion board):

There almost seems to be no rhyme or reason to why someone got and in and others didn't; or at least it's difficult to see what is the most important.

What's THR pls?

Texas Health Resources. 25 hospitals within the system.

It seems like those with a partnership were given priority, followed by those with the most considerations, followed by applicants with the highest GPA's. I would imagine someone with a 4.0 and 0 considerations would be accepted over someone with a 3.0 and 2 considerations, but hey, you never know!

Definitely partnered folks get priority for AP, but on campus is not as black and white. There must some sort of number given to the considerations and then everything calculated and ranked.

That's so weird. I feel like they also look at what classes you have left. If you apply and still have a science, and a lot of classes you'll have to take over the summer they might reject you?

THR is no longer partnered.

But they are suppose to be for fall 2013; even though hearing two different things makes me wonder.

I think for fall they still are. It is my understanding that the change is effective for Spring 2014 applicants meaning anyone applying FOR spring 2014. Which means me. Good luck!!

I can attest to that. It is insane. :nurse:

Advisor told me today we will find out the later part of April. I have a feeling within two weeks we'll all know! I'm so nervous. Good luck to everyone.

That's exciting. I thought my classes would keep me busy so I wouldn't think about it but no such luck.
