i turned in my application for this and the MSN. i have a BA in communication, and a BS in psychology, with a 3.5 gpa from those degrees. so far with my prereqs i have a 4.0, but i may make a B in micro this semester. scored a 1360 (650v, 710q) on the gre with a 4 (ew!) on the writing part.
anyone else applied or waiting for word on this or the combined program?
I also applied to the BSN/MSN - FNP. Waiting is no fun, and neither is not knowing if your application is complete. The Penn website has been wacky, and it still claims they are missing things from me that I know they have received.
Also - is anyone working on the financial aid forms? I am having some major issues with those. For instance, if anyone is working on the CSS application, and you already have a BA degree, are you calling yourself a 5th year undergraduate student? A graduate student? I emailed Penn, but got conflicting information. Also, how are you estimating your income for this year and next? My husband is employed right now, but his position is temporary (ends in May), and I so I have no clue if he will be employed when I would start the program. I am not sure if I should say that I expect him to have no income, or what. It's very confusing. Would love to hear how others are tackling the financial aid forms.
Thanks!
Hi Everyone,
Hoping for some advice. I applied for the BSN/MSN program (FNP specialty), and I received an email in October about interview dates. I responded, asking for a phone interview since I couldn't get away during those dates. I received a response saying that a professor would be in touch with me. No one contacted me. I followed up in December, and I was told that professors would be contacting applicants throughout December. I still have not heard from anyone. Is anyone in the same boat, waiting for a phone interview? I am wondering if they have decided not to interview me, and that I am out of the running. I don't know what to think.
Would appreciate advice!
i had my interview, but if i were you, i'd email filomena and get on the phone with her as well. like asap. you aren't really bothering anyone--you are about to make a very serious commitment to this university. you are auditioning them as much as they are auditioning you. get on it and good luck!
