Well, I got not one, but two job offers from some different places. One is one of the nursing homes I applied to, I start CNA classes on tuesday. The other is a medical office that offered me a position as a health information clerk, filing and processing medical records.
Both seem like good jobs, but I went with the nursing home for a couple of reasons. For one, since I'm going into nursing, the CNA job will give me good hands on in working with patients. And also, it'll be more flexible when I start school, I can work full or part time. The other job is straight 9 to 5, and I'd have to quit probably when school starts. So, I hope the CNA job goes well, I shadowed last week, and it didn't seem like anything i couldn't handle. I figure if I spent 4 years in the U.S. Marines I can handle about anything :chuckle

Congrats on starting your career. CNA's are the backbone of all LTC facilities. I hope the job is everything you want it to be. Keep us posted on how it is going.

Good luck. My friend a nursing home is a worse battlefield than you ever imagined in your career in the Marines. :)
