My new job has a unit based pool position which would include working a minimum of 32 hours a week, including 4 weekend shifts a month. Of course it's non-benefitted. I'm considering switching to this because I don't need benefits (husband has fantastic benefits) and we're already required to work 4 weekend shifts a month. It would mean a 33% pay increase as well.
Anyone who's had experience with unit based pool (meaning I only work L&D) what are your experiences with this? One of the nurses I work with is pool, but I haven't had a chance to really get to ask her questions, what I have been able to find out is that she loves it.
Thanks for any responses
