UMDNJ ABSN program Fall 2013

Hello Everyone,

I am a new member trying to get information about the UMDNJ ABSN program and thought the best and most accurate information would come from fellow students who have already successfully applied to the program.

I am currently taking the one prerequisite I need before I can apply (Anatomy & Physiology II) and recently attended an information session. One thing that left me with questions was about the 5 year rule on some of the classes (A & P I and II, Microbiology).

I am hoping that someone can clear my confusion on this. I graduated with a BS in Biology in May 2009. I took A & P I my last semester and am taking A & P II now. When it comes to Micro I took it Spring 2008. Now does that mean I am ok applying for Fall 2013? I tried emailing someone to ask with not much luck. Do you guys think it would be a problem and I should retake it? Anyone was or is now in the same boat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

I just saw the email in my rutgers account. Yup, $136. Keeps adding up :)

I have a . For you guys: has any1 seen the book list? Try as hard as you can to get them early. For those of you going to nalc see if any of the old students are willing to sell you theirs. That list will make you want to faint.

The info stated that we will get a complete book list during orientation. I could imagine the list being very long which will add to the expenses fairly quickly.

Anyone taking the TEAS Monday July 29th?

I am taking it on the 29th:)

Also, I still can't get onto my email! It doesn't work through portal, and doesn't work for me through the Nursing page "Toolbox" menu! Help! What username are we supposed to be entering? My student id, NetID, and emails all didn't work.

Go to sn.rutgers.edu, click on my portal up top on the right, log in with your un and pw, then there should be an email icon on the top and after you click that, click on my umdnj email and you should be set

@bmillz, the portal system did not work for me either. If you go to the link on the nursing homepage use your [email protected]. I just want to make sure, is everyone talking about the TEAS going to Newark? Because I am going to the Stratford campus and have not heard anything. I also haven't heard anything about uniforms.

I was at the Stratford campus yesterday, and they told me that if you're part of the NALC program that you will take the TEAS during the program session.

anyone know when we are getting block-registered for our classes?

this is regarding the newark campus

thanks :)

I called last week and they said we should be registered by this week. I hope the person I spoke with was right. My financial aide doesn't cover the full cost, and I need to know how big of a loan I need to get to cover the rest. Cutting it close.

Are any future Stratford students on Facebook (Mama Nurse, Bukola, Temmuz, etc)? I was thinking of starting a group.

Hey guys, I've created a Newark page on Facebook for the class entering this Fall. It might make things easier to communicate there. Thanks! Here's the link:.facebook.com/pages/Rutgers-Newark-Accelerated-BSN-Fall-2013-Entering-Class/484937138265046
