UMaryland CNL Program

Hi! I applied to the UMaryland CNL program for Fall 2009. Does anyone know when do the acceptance letters go out? I have a knot in my stomach every time I check my mail!

Thanks!

Chris

Hi Chris,

I am also waiting on word from UMAB about the CNL program. Like a lot of people here I have been checking the online SURFS system multiple times through the day and thought when I went "Committee Ready" I was going to get a decision soon after. But it's been weeks since then and still nada.

I'm still knocking out the chemistry and nutrition courses but will done by late July. We're military and seems like every program I've looked at has slightly different requirements that I need to knock out... Have you heard anything about whether having them in progress could impact an applicants chances? (My science GPA is 4.0 so far and my BS cumulative was 3.462.) I can't seem to get back into SURFS to see my status... Can you add another post when your status changes? Good luck to you!

I had the hardest time trying to track down the log in site to check my status, so I use this shortcut. I assume it will work for you too.

None of the programs I applied to had an issue with finishing up classes after you applied. As long as they are done by the time school starts in the Fall and your grades are in line with what they expect you should be fine. Best of luck to you as well and I will post when my status changes.

Hi Jesse, Thanks for the link! I was able to get in and it looks like my application is now committee ready. I had a bunch of stuff, including my UMD info, stored on my school laptop. It was a few years old and bit the dust late last month... I've got the info saved on my thumb drive now. Thank again!

The UMaryland website updated my status today. I MADE IT! :clpty:

Congratulations Chris! That's great news. I'm still awaiting thumbs up or thumbs down.

Hopefully I'll be seeing you on campus if things go my way.

Congratulations again.
