UM FNP Spring 2017 Program

Hello,

I recently applied to UM's (University of Miami) FNP part-time program that starts in January 2017. I was contacted today to set-up an interview and have it for next week. Was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat as me? I am currently an ED nurse wishing to get into this program and meet others that will join me.

Thanks!

Hi PinkNurse14,

I am still working on my application. I am hoping I get accepted for Spring 2017 also. I am so nervous. I heard there is usually around 300 applicants. I regret not doing my application sooner so I could have had an interview early on like you. Good luck on your interview!

Hi everyone! I also applied for the Spring term and had my interview today. They told me I should hear back from them in about 4 weeks. It was really laid back. It felt like a job interview. One clinical question tailored towards your area of expertise. So excited! Fingers crossed!!!

Hi lilRN87,

So glad to meet someone else who applied! Where is your expertise? I work in the ED and it seems like they could ask me about anything and everything :) GOODLUCK!!

Thanks!

Hi PinkNurse14,

I'm currently working in the ICU but I've also done Med-Surg and PACU. Don't be nervous, it really is not so bad í ½í¸‰

PinkNurse14,

Hope your interview went well. How was it?

Hey mdcRN2011,

It went great!! Much better than I was expecting, like everyone says, it's relaxed and feels like a job interview. When will you be done with your application? Like they're telling everyone, we should hear a decision within the next 4 weeks. :)

Hi everyone!

Does anybody know if they are still interviewing this week?

Not sure if they have interviews scheduled specifically for this week. I do know that there are several rounds of interviews based on when you submit your application. They will interview more people in July or August.

Hello there! Does UM sends out admission status letters by US mail or by email? Has anyone been accepted without interviewing?

Thanks for your input.
