uk to adelaide

Hi both my wife and I are nurses and on the move to Australia in august 2006. We have been offered jobs with healthscope in Adelaide. We are looking for advice regarding good suburbs/ locations to live, also good schools for our 10 year old plus any general information/ tips.

I live in Melbourne, and don't know anything about the best places to live etc in Adelaide, but a former colleague moved to SA last year, so I'll sound her out and post again if she has anything relevant I can pass on.
