UCSF MSN 2019

Published

Hi everyone!

I thought I would create a thread for applicants of the MSN program at UCSF for Fall 2019 so we can all have some support as we go through the application process.

I've been invited to interview for the FNP specialty for March 20, 2019. Anyone else applied and have an interview as well? Or has anyone gone through the interview process for the MSN program and have tips about what the experience is like?

I'd also LOVE input from other UCSF MSN-ers who can tell us a little more about how they like the program, pros and cons, etc!

Hope to see all you current applicants and students on campus later this year ?

I am interviewing on Monday for the CNM/WHNP track! Feeling nervous because I don’t know how many spots are available and how many are interviewing!

Wow, awesome! I feel the same. I heard for MEPN they interview twice as many as who they would accept, but I’m unsure if that applies to MSN. I’m pretty nervous about the whole thing! So unsure about details like how long to expect the interview to be, how many people, etc. I know the program is crazy competitive too which makes it a little more nerve wracking. I’m rooting for you for next Monday!

Without disclosing interview details I suspect that there may be 20 interviewees for my group. I've read just about every thread on here about UCSF and one said that 6 RN applicants were accepted.

Good luck on your interview!

Hello!

Thanks for starting this thread!

I will be starting F19 for the AGACNP specialty! I did not have to interview, so I’m sorry I can’t offer any direct insight on the process. I did hear from other people who did have to interview that the interviewers were really nice, so try not to worry too much! Congratulations on your interviews and good luck!

I hope to see all of you guys this Fall!

Luloo, congrats on your admission to the AGACNP track! And I appreciate your insight on the interview process, it really helps with my nerves!

I am getting a little worried about the interview, as I just received an email from the program that told me it will be a “speed interview” of some sorts with multiple interviewers. Has anyone gone through the process already that would like to share some tips?

How are you all feeling about your upcoming interviews?

PS, abber, I know you did great!

Hi all! I just found out today I was accepted to the pediatric NP program at UCSF!! No interview here either. I'm dying for more information about the program, already trying to figure out how to juggle my work and kid schedule with school. I'm in the East Bay (Walnut Creek). Looking forward to getting to know you all :).

I, too, was accepted to UCSF AGPCNP for Fall 2019. I did not have to interview. I cannot wait to meet others in this cohort. I have been an RN for 10 years in Marin County. I smile every day thinking about starting this journey with you all at one of the best universities in the world.

Just now seeing this thread. Congrats to you all! I was accepted to the ACPNP program this fall without having to interview. Looking forward to an exciting new journey :).

Hey everyone! I am looking for information about the CNS track. Anyone on here apply for CNS or know anyone who has? Looking for info about how many people apply, acceptance, and any tips on how to get in! Thanks!!
