UCSF MEPN Program 2009 Applicants

Featured Replies

Hello,

I applied to the 2009 UCSF MEPN program and am concerned that I have not heard whether they have received my application in its entirety. Has anyone else applied and heard anything? I read on this site that people were notified in late October regarding the application status in previous years. I applied to the FNP track. There's got to be more of you out there in my shoes.

I did not get anything from UCSF regarding my completed application. I know for a fact one of my letter writers was unable to write my recommendation so I'm waiting to hear from UCSF in regards to what I have to do next.

That's horrible - why was s/he unable to submit your letter? I would be really upset!

So, I guess UCSF does not notify applicants if the app is complete - only if it is incomplete - according to another post i saw somewhere.

To which track did you apply?

Hi Hi!

I applied to the 2009 MEPn applications also.

She got really sick, like hospital sick so it's no biggie. I had 4 anyways but I asked someone else so I could have the 5 maximum.

I applied for the Pediatric NP track.

I'm stressing out because I'm taking Anatomy now and I'm standing at a C. Never take 3 science classes - damn labs messed me up! Anyways, I read somewhere that they don't really care about the grade; as long as you took it but me wanting to be as competitive as possible, that's not good enough for me. I should have taken Ana/Physio combined!

Oh well.

Hello!

I'm another MEPN applicant - Women's Health and Midwifery.

Haven't heard anything from UCSF about my application, except the screen that popped up saying it was "under review" after I hit the submit button. I'm also am quite certain one of my letter writers didn't get the letter sent because his wife is really sick and he hasn't responded to any calls/emails since July. C'est la vie, right?

Anyway, I guess it's just a waiting game now...interview invitation/rejections in the next few weeks, I'd bet?

Did you get confirmation of application complete or incomplete? I didn't!

This wait is torturous!

HI everyone!

I'm so glad to have a thread for 2009 applicants. I can't believe we get our letters in 3 weeks. When we submitted the apps it felt like years.

I applied for the neonatal np track. I haven't heard of anyone else who has. Good luck to everyone!

None from my end here too!

A few more weeks go to with this waiting.

Did anyone here apply for perinatal cns?

hey all! I applied to the psychiatric/mental health specialty at ucsf. they're my top choice... anyway, I'm writing on here b/c I just had a dream last night about my ucsf interview! ahhh haha i'm getting nervous!!

mommabear-I also applied to the perinatal cns track. So cool that I finally found someone else that is interested in this topic. I wrote a little about my motivation for pursuing this specialty in the other UCSF MEPN thread. Would you like to share any of your reasons for pursuing this specialty? We should be hearing anytime now about interviews, I wish you luck!
