  1. i got my letter a while ago. i didn't get an interview. i am crushed. i live in santa cruz, ca. the envelope was thin and small.
  2. tsscal! i am so excited for you! i just ran to my mail and i don't have anything yet. i hope i get to see you on the 16th!
  3. i'm in santa cruz, ca and no news yet. ahg!
  4. star thanks for keeping us informed and for your generous offer. i hope i get to take you up on it.
  5. just nervously checked the mail and nothing. stay strong!
  6. oh and also, i am in santa cruz, about an hour south of sf. i think i am closer than you two. i will let you know as soon as i know anything. good luck!
  7. judy & anand you're both right. i think i feel better knowing others are making themselves crazy too :) and you both have good points about it happening if it needs to happen. i need to take a deep breath and try to relax. i hope i get to meet both of you on interview day!
  8. knowing that the letters are coming any day i am freaking out about my application. my gpa is pretty low and my gre scores are good but not anything special. i have a lot of volunteer experience and i have worked in a community service field for years. i know i just need to calm down and stop comparing myself to people i don't even know. i just can't stop obsessing! is anyone else doing this?
  9. omg! where did you see it on the website? i can't find that info anywhere. i can't believe we'll have an answer in a couple days! good luck everyone!
  10. uclover i too am on the verge of death :) i haven't really slept in a couple nights and i have a physio final tomorrow at 7am. i am obsessing over the mailbox. i checked it 4 times yesterday and the last 3 times i knew full well there would be nothing new in it. i couldn't help myself! best of luck to everyone! i am so excited/nervous!
  11. Star how are people opting out of the step out year? from my understanding it is a requirement. i know in my chosen specialty (neonatal) two step out years are required. thanks for the info and best of luck!
  12. jcarranz you and i have similar work experience. i've worked with adults and children with mental and physical disabilities for almost 10 years. for the past 3 years i've been working in medical advocacy in the same field. i applied to the neonatal track, i hope to meet you on interview day!
  13. tsscal i wrote two pages for my personal history statement and was one of the people worried that i missed the mark by writing so much. i emailed the admissions office a while ago and they said that the length is not an issue and won't affect the strength of the application. so no worries!
  14. HI everyone! I'm so glad to have a thread for 2009 applicants. I can't believe we get our letters in 3 weeks. When we submitted the apps it felt like years. I applied for the neonatal np track. I haven't heard of anyone else who has. Good luck to everyone!
  15. Hi All! My online app still says my letters are unavailable and doesn't even mention my transcripts. I'm hoping this is the case for everyone else too. I'm afraid to call and ask.
