UCLA Summer Externship 2009

Hi primagirl! I applied for that too and I'm still waiting to find out...have you gotten any news yet? I e-mailed Sheri and asked her when the results will be available, she said she would be done with the final decisions this past weekend 2/21, 2/22. So we should be hearing from her sometime this week. Let me know if you have any news yet! =)

hey! I have not heard yet either! kinda annoying. do you know anyone else who applied? where are you from? I am hoping to hear today or within the next few days. I will let you know when I hear!

I don't know anyone else who applied from my school, I'm in the east coast but I really want to be accepted to this externship. I keep waiting to get an e-mail, lol...it's driving me crazy!

Hey, I just emailed Sheri again to check in. I will let you know what she says. I guess it is a good sign that neither of us has heard yet! I am just as anxious as you, it's all I can think about! Did Sheri call you back in November when you initially applied online? Do you know how many apply? Is it super competitive? I feel like I have a million questions. My boyfriend just moved to LA for his job, and that is why I applied there, but since then I have learned more about UCLA and it seems like a great place to work! I really would love to do this and then move out there in January to work after I graduate in December. What about you?

Hey so let me know if she wrote you back yet! She didn't call me after the application but she came near my city so I was able to go and meet her. She said about 200 apply and 20 get accepted, so it's pretty competitive. I love california and I would love to spend my summer there as well. Plus if you do this externship it's a big bonus for you when trying to get a job there after you graduate!

She hasn't replied back yet. She usually is very quick, so I'm not sure why...let me know if you hear too! I thought she said 28 get accepted...is that wrong? Good luck!

Hey everyone! I'm planning to apply for the next UCLA new grad program. I heard they're hiring for Winter 2010. Does anyone have more info about this? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
