Hey, I found out today that my start date is January 18th too. I am working at Big Baylor Downtown, but I am assuming this is the same for most of the other satellite locations. They said we all start on days and have two 8-hour class days a week and we are precepted for 2 day shifts a week! Where is everyone working? Which Baylor location/specialty???

I am originally from Dallas, but go to school in Nashville at Belmont University. So are you in the new grad residency program? I have only talked with the nurse manager who gave me the offer and not the recruiter yet who I had my phone interview with...so I am guessing we start on the same day...I am going to call her tomorrow and double check. I knew it was either January 11th or the 18th. Congrats!

How did your interview go? Did you figure out which area it was? Do you know what floor?

One more thing! Plan to answer several behavior based questions for the recruiters too! That was the basis of that interview...just to let you know! Please let me know if you have anymore questions. Also, if you know ANYONE at Baylor who could be a reference or possibly call the nurse manager for the area you are interested and recommend you I would do that asap.

hey! what area are you applying for. I had my phone interview with a recruiter named Courtney North (she is the critical care recruiter). She told me a "game plan" for the areas that she would like to try to place me based on my interests too. I met with both supervisors last Friday night. The transplant interview was really relaxed and he basically told me about the unit and asked me about myself, gave me a tour, and let me talk to the nurses. All were very nice! The trauma interview was later that night and I met with the night supervisor. She asked me about 15 behavior based questions...I would definitely prepare for these. Know examples of how you've handled conflict in the workplace, how you are a team player, why you want that area, what sets you apart, how you solved a problem in the workplace, clinical, etc. Also she asked me one random drug question...she gave me a scenario and asked me what order I would do things in. So, I'm not sure where you are planning on interviewing, but just be yourself, let them know you are very interested, bring your resume, and know your stuff! Good luck with everything! :)

hey! to answer your question...i just had 2 interviews last weekend. One with the transplant/surgical icu supervisor and the other with the Trauma ICU supervisor...both went really well. The transplant interview was very laid back and the trauma one was relaxed, but I was asked a lot of behavior-based interview questions. Both showed me around the units and introduced me to nurses to get their opinion of the floor. They said they would be contacting me soon...Both seem like really great places to work! good luck everyone! Anyone else have any interviews?

Hi! I recently had 2 interviews at Baylor Medical Center Dallas in the Trauma ICU & the Transplant/Surgical ICU. They both went really well and I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about these areas? Has anyone else interviewed yet?? Thanks! -Amy

Hey, I just emailed Sheri again to check in. I will let you know what she says. I guess it is a good sign that neither of us has heard yet! I am just as anxious as you, it's all I can think about! Did Sheri call you back in November when you initially applied online? Do you know how many apply? Is it super competitive? I feel like I have a million questions. My boyfriend just moved to LA for his job, and that is why I applied there, but since then I have learned more about UCLA and it seems like a great place to work! I really would love to do this and then move out there in January to work after I graduate in December. What about you?
