Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on here applied/interviewed for the Spring PeriOp program? I just interviewed for it a couple days ago. Does anyone know how long they will be interviewing for? How long do people usually wait for a call back?! I'm so anxious and really hope I did OK in the interview. How did your interviews go? :nurse:

Hi!

I just interviewed on the 5th as well, I wonder if there were any other interview dates for OR. I hope i did OK also! The only thing they told me was that we'll hear back from them by the end of the year. 3 weeks to go :( I'm just as anxious!! Do you know anything about the census/number of people they're interview & hiring? I emailed the assistant director on Tuesday but haven't gotten a response back. We'll keep in touch and update each other as we go, GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Hi! I am just as curious as you two! I have no idea how many they are hiring or interviewing. When I asked awhile ago HR told me they don't know how the statistics will be. How did your interviews go? I felt they didn't ask enough questions for me and I have this burning feeling that I didn't get to say everything I wanted and didn't ask the important questions. I also emailed the UD assistant and no response :( Do any of you already work at UCLA? or have some sort of OR experience?

Hey guys,

They said in the past their program has consisted of 6-12 nurses, but I did not ask know how many they will be interviewing or how many they plan on hiring this round. How many questions did they ask you, NurseMeBSN? I felt like the director was asking me a lot of questions! I was getting nervous with the more questions she asked. So I started to stutter my answers towards the end. hahaha. I don't work for UCLA and I've only observed in the OR for a bit. How about you???

I don't remember how many questions...less than 10? what time was your interview? I have a feeling they interviewed 1 person an hour b/c the next person after me was an hour after mine. I hope they only interviewed that day if they are only hiring 6-12 RNs....i was told we will hear this coming week or the next week, but before xmas.

They might have done 2 interviewers for some hours because the person before mine was scheduled 30 mins ahead. I felt like my time was really short as well, I was only asked a handful of questions.

I dont work for UCLA and only had few a few observations in the OR, what about you NurseMeBSN? What time were your interviews at? Glad to hear they'll call before Christmas, a week less than expected! Good luck!

I dont work for UCLA, i've floated to pre ops and post op observation units for work as an aide before and just observed in the OR during rotations. Mine was at 1130. I hope we get it :)

Hi guys! I asked if there were anymore interviews and was told it was just this one. And they did not have a certain # of people they hired, they just picked whoever they feel qualified. I was asked around ten questions too. Good luck everyone!!! NurseMeBsn I interviewed after you :)
