Hello,
I just received my response from UCLA for my application late February 2015 and I am on the waiting/alternate list for the acute care np program for fall 2015. (Devastating!). I was just wondering if others knew what the actual likelihood of someone on the waiting list actually getting into the program and how many people are on the wait list in the first place? I applied to CAL State LA also but as everyone else I want UCLA. Does anyone know how many people got accepted last year on the wait list? Maybe 1? LOL. Also what were the applicant's qualifications for those who were accepted, especially for the acute care np program. I have a 3.72 GPA at CSUN, graduated with cum laude, 5 years ICU experience (one year of which I have been doing relief charge nurse, plus I have precepted and mentored countless new ICU/DOU employees), CCRN certification and excellent references, plus I poured my heart into my letter of intent. What happened? Though I attended the information session, it has slipped my mind as to how many students they accept annually for acute care np program. Also what is the link to check on the application status? I really appreciate your help and congrats to those who are accepted. I am trying not to loose hope but I guess it is what it is!

Hi sstephe2,
I'm not familiar with the Acute Care program but from what I remember from one of the information sessions, they admitted somewhere between 14-20 last year.
There was a thread for last year (UCLA MSN 2014) check that out. Hopefully it will give you more info.
To check your status, go to the page where you submitted your application and instead of logging in, look below for the "Decision Status Login." There you will be able to check your status.
I hope you get in!!
