Anybody please???

So, I actually had an interview with UCI in the NICU on the 10th. I am actually still waiting as I have not heard back. I'm sure each unit is a little different but in my interview it was a panel interview. The director, the night shift manager, a couple of staff nurses, as well as some of the educators. 7 people total I believe. Each person had a question to ask and then I was given a tour of the unit.

Thanks for the reply! Ill be interviewing for perinatal svcs. It's a panel interview with only you as the applicant, right? Coz kaiser is like a couple of applicants and a 6 interviewers.

What kind of questions did you get? Im nervous. Did you interview for the nicu night position?

Yes, the interview is just with you and then I had like 6 or 7 ppl. The director, the manager for the night shift, a couple of nurses (day and night) and then a couple of educators. The questions were normal interview questions like where do you see yourself in 5 years, tell me about yourself, then they gave me a situational question about an infant who was lethargic after an assessment. They also asked for a time where there was conflict and what I did to resolve it. I did interview for NICU nights and idk when they are making decisions but if it's based off the start of their NICU course which is their didactic then it would probably be starting at the end of January.

Also, I cannot get Kaiser to save my life!!! Kaiser always tells me I don't have enough experience but they require 1 year or an equivalent course...I have the equivalent course and they still won't give me an interview!!!

I got an interview for Kaiser two months ago. But it's either there's other applicants that are more qualified or they don't have a job posting.

I also applied for NICU nights but I don't have the experience. I really want to get into NICU coz I heard they have a very good training program.

Have you interviewed yet for NICU? Did they give a time of when they would make decisions? I precepted in NICU and worked for 5 mo as an RN but that job didn't work out

Done with my interview. I don't think I got in. Lol.. I was not given the tour. And they didn't ask me the questioms that I prepared for lol. I noticed they keep asking about attendance and tardiness.

That was one thing they didn't really ask other than how would your former employee say about your attendance I think. I still haven't heard anything back so idk know if I got it either.

And also, just because you didn't get the tour doesn't mean much. They might not have had time to do the tour if they were interviewing someone right afterwards. I just wish I knew when they would be making a decision. I also have an interview in Jan. for LLU.
