If I remember right, they offer interviews in November. I applied to the Birmingham component. Hopefully I'll get into Samford and be able to withdraw my app.
Your stats are great (don't know your experience), but the Mobile component is HARD to get into. They only take 4 people I believe and interview 8. I had a friend that just got in the Mobile component but was rejected the first time. She had a 3.9 GPA, CCRN, can't remember GRE but was above 1200, and 3 years experience in TBICU when she was rejected. I'm not saying you won't get in. Just be prepared.

Tell me about it! I pray my application will get me an interview. My wife doesn't want me to go to UAB, she wants me to get into LSU. She didn't even want me to apply . I would like to get into UAB-Mobile, however, I too had a coworker who got in and her stats where almost identical to your coworker; however, she later turned it down. I just want to get an interview so I can show them my character. But lets say I get into both UAB and LSU, I'm picking LSU.
UAB-Mobile = Out of reach school
LSU New Orleans = Reach and Target school
Our Lady of the Lake = Safe School.
I just called UAB and the received 203 applications for next year's class. Interviews will be held in January and you will be notified one week after interviewing if you were accepted. They will mail notifications of interviews in November. I didn't ask how many students they admit, but the Mobile component only accepts 3 or 4. Maybe someone else can call and ask how many total applicants are accepted? I believe Abe is right when he says around 75. So if that is corret most students have a 36% chance of being accepted, unless you applied to the Mobile Component then its like 7% or something :)
I too applied for next fall. Friend of mine currently in the program said they usually send out invites for interviews in November, but that she did not interview untill the following February (which sucks!)Anyway, if I hear something, I'll let you know!

Which component did you apply for?
looking at the uab class schedule listings from previous years: looks like 60-65 are admitted. of those 30-36 are birmingham local and 30-35 are at the satellite locations.
can go here and look at historical data. select term, then subject ---na classes. you can see which are dl and which are local by clicking on the # at the left after you get the list.

Bucknangler----Baylor (according to their FAQ) has about 130 Apps to 15 slots, about 9 to 1 ratio. So UAB with 400 Apps for 70-75 slots isn't out of line with less than a 6 to 1 ratio.
JBrock,
I don't think students consider the number admitted as to whether or not one should turn in an application...most students rely on the location of the campus. My point was Houston is a VERY large metropolitan so you would think they would have a large application showing...same with Duke. UAB certainly has the benefit of their satellite campuses which increase application numbers big time. I know I wouldn't have applied if it was only within Birmhingham.

When do they offer interviews? Who all here applied? I applied to the Mobile Component. I am applying to 3 schools this year and UAB-Mobile is the hardest out of the three programs I am applying to.
I have a 3.53 GPA, 1030 on the GRE, 4.0 Graduate GPA with 18 hours towards my MSN, and my CCRN certification.... I should have studied for the GRE. I just woke up and took it without studying. When I apply to LSU for Fall 2010 (LSU is my reach school) I plan to actually study for the GRE!!!
So back to the topic
When do they offer interviews and who all applied?
