UAB AMNP 2020 Applicants

Hi! I didn't come across a thread for the upcoming UAB AMNP program applicants so I decided to create one. I am still working on my application at this time. I'm super nervous because I don't have any patient care experience and my undergraduate GPA isn't great. I have a master's degree already in another field and my GPA there was pretty good. I'm working on getting some volunteer/shadowing experiences before submitting my application so fingers crossed!

    @ShayShaw Where are you located? I found a hospice organization that offers volunteer opportunities and have come across other opportunities in the Birmingham area.

    @ann35211 I have 2 pre-reqs to take in the Fall. I haven't submitted my app yet but I plan on submitting in a few weeks once I get some shadowing hours.

    @ShayShaw I attended a session in April. It helped to clarify a few things for me.

    @ShayShaw That's great! I'm trying to decide if I should wait until I'm registered for my last two classes to submit my app or go ahead and submit it once I get my shadowing hours. I kind of just want to get it out of the way and remove some of my anxiety.
