how do u study??

I am a prenursing student waiting to get into the program. I just wanted to know what study habits is everyone using? Flashcards? Typing up notes? rewriting notes? study groups? Does everyone study like 3 hours a day to keep up on the material? Please any advice or comments are greatly appreciated!! I want to practice now..thanks

You might try searching "study habits", as I just noticed a post with some info on this. Basically, it depends on your learning style, so you just need to figure out what works for you.

When I started school I also searched for study habits on Google and found great information. After the first semester I learned more about what kind of learner I am, and you will need to find out the same. Personally, I study for about 1-2 hours a day the week before a test (lunch break and 1 hour at night). I know people who don't study until a few days before. I don't have good short-term memory so that would never work for me. Some people need to write notes to remember; some have to draw pictures because they are visual learners, some just read the book. I like this tip: take a 10 minute break after studying for 50 minutes - otherwise you will not retain anything, just get burned out. Find out what time of the day is best for you and schedule around that. Good luck. -ec
