TX Warning with Stips

Does anyone know what happens after a 12 month Warning with Stips order is complete? Does it disappear from my license info on the TXBON website? Are employers still able to look it up?

Also, I am starting NP school in 1 week. Does anyone know if having past disciplinary action will cause any problems with obtaining my NP license?

The warning with stipulations censure will still appear next to your name and license number when employers look it up through the Texas BON website. I've seen disciplinary actions from the 80s and 90s still listed next to licensees' names.

I know it will stay there forever if you don't complete the terms of the order. What if it is completed? Does anyone have personal experience with this?

Found the answer...it goes away when the terms of the order are complete! License status returns to normal. Thank goodness!

To The Commuter,

The disciplinary action will only still appear if the nurse did not complete the terms of their order. Good news!

Hi LibertyTX, if you do not mind me asking, I am in the same position and have the warning with stipulations on my license, how were you able to find this out?

I looked up other nurses who had previously been disciplined, at least a year ago, on the TXBON website, then looked at their current license status. Most of them no longer had the disciplinary action listed. Their license was back to normal!

I am about two months away from completing my 12 month Warning w/Stipulations! I will turn in my last quarterly work evaluation at the beginning of December. My monitoring supervisor at the TXBON told me that once I am picked for my December drug test I can stop logging in to RecoverTrek! So exciting! Once they get the results of my December drug test, my disciplinary action will be removed from my license. I am so ready for this stressful chapter of my life to be OVER!!

Hi Liberty,

May I ask why you have stipulations on your license? I read through your post and saw that after you sent in your declaratory order and went to the enforcement review, they gave you the all clear?

Did something happen after you received your license? The reason I'm asking is because I also sent in declaratory order and got letter that I will be able to sit once I graduate. But was wondering if that's it or are they gonna review it again when I apply for the nclex and possibly give me stipulations??

Well, it figures that the BON would drag this out as long as possible.... my 12 months ended December 9th, and I still haven't been picked for my final drug test. I'm fully expecting to be picked on the 31st, lol! Can't wait to be done with the BON!! :woot:

@libertyTX

I am in a similar boat. I am coming up to my 12 month mark for my 12 month stipulation. June 1st I can turn in last my quarterly work requirement form. I have completed the educated and work requirement for the stipulation given by BON. After you were tested in December how long after did it take for BON to take off the stipulation on license so it was back to normal? Did you have to contact BON for anything afterwards, like you took your final drug screen? Did you get confirmation that everything was completed under your stipulation? I am just curious about time frame.
