What is the general standard for acceptance to these schools (GRE, GPA, experience.)? Also is anyone familiar with which hospitals they are currently using in Lafayette, LA.

I am a RRNA at TWU. I don't think there are any clinical sites in Lafayette.
Here are the primary sites in LA:
CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA
LSU Medical Center, Shreveport, Louisiana
Willis-Knighton Medical Center, Shreveport, Louisiana
Here are the non-primary sites in LA:
LSU Medical Center @ E.A. Conway, Monroe, Louisiana
Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, Louisiana
There are a cpl of ppl that i know of in my class that are from Lafayette, but must be doing their clinicals elsewhere.
As far as the 1st prt of ur question, here's a link to TWU's admission page:

Note: the interview is VERY important!...probably more so if you're towards the bottom of the minimal criteria...there's not a minimal GRE score. Also, you apply for your clinical site...the more that you're willing to go to, the greater your chances for acceptance. Keep in mind though, many clincal sites require that you interview with them (both Arkansas sites do this)...so you have to interview twice..once with TWU & once with the clinical sites.
Good Luck

Hi there, I am actually from Lafayette and grad from ULL. The hospitals that TCU uses are Lafayette general and Lourdes. I don't think anyone pays much attention to the GRE if you have the minimum. Same with GPA, except those science courses. The curriculums are very science focused so they want to see that you did well in them before. I think your personality and experience count for alot. They will be able to tell your experience during a clinical interview. Needless to say i will be starting at TCU in the Fall. Good Luck and feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
