TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

They probably sent the Houston ones out tonight so that they don't have another system crash like they did earlier today. This way people will be thinking of looking on Monday and will "accidently" find out for themselves over the weekend. :)

I couldn't agree more. It hasn't sunk in yet. My first reaction was shock, then excitement, then happy tears, then panic. It's real now. I keep thinking, now I really have to do this, which is kinda scary! Shifting gears from dreaming and hoping to knowing and planning after all this time feels really weird.

Yes, it does feel surreal. I logged in atleast 6 more time afterwards just to make sure it was still there. :)

My hubby took me out to dinner earlier to celebrate!! He knows all of you guys now by screename hehe. I told him about our group.

I know it feels so weird the suspense is over!its says registration is open nov 2 to dec 21st. So we have to register pretty soon!in my acceptance email I can't open the appentence letter and other attachment becaus e I'm using my fone!I can't wait to get to my laptop and open it! :D

Congratulations everyone! I'm in the class of 2011 Spring and I'm attending the TWU Houston Campus. For those who will be here in Houston, it's AN AWESOME CAMPUS! I'm from Dallas and I love it here. You will love choice of hospitals for clinicals. I currently do my clinical at The Methodist Hospital and I love it. I love my clinical group. You will make lifelong nursing buddies for sure. The classes are challenging ...no lie! However it is so worth it!

Someone had posted which school to choose? Prairie View or TWU??? So far" TWU reputation exceeds over all skill and knowledge in regard to nursing" per "my nursing preceptor at the orthopedic surg unit.

Congratulations everyone!! I know I am kind of new and don't know seem to know everyone as well but I am so very excited for you all and know the joy you are experiencing! I told myself I was not going to check my email until Monday but after getting emails that new posts were being written on the thread I had to check and make sure...and I got in as well!!! :) I have also applied to UT in Houston but they are not supposed to notify us until November 15th. I am encountering a problem though that I wonder if anyone else is experiencing. We must notify them by November 9th; however, I will not know about my UT Houston admission status until the 15th. I have not exactly made my decision as to which one I would choose (if I were to get into both). Any thoughts?!? And is anyone else undergoing the same situation? Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
