TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

You have 4 hours to take the test, but no individual piece of the test is timed, is that correct?

yes, it is self-paced.

Yeah, I was surprised how long it seemed! You determine when you need a break, how long you want to spend on a section, etc...

Took me a little over three hours.

Thanks for the info! I take it on the 20th. Can anyone tell me how much of the test is mult choice, compared to short answer? Are there any other test question formats that we should be prepared for?

Ok, say a prayer for me. I'm leaving now to go take the Hesi. I'm a little freaked, but really more just rushing adrenaline right now.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck!!!:yeah:

Yippeeee!!!! I'm done. I did better than I thought I would and I feel really good about my score. It took me close to 3 hours to complete with no breaks. Sure am glad that's over.

i'll be taking my HESI this week on thursday :uhoh21: i hope i don't blank out! i don't get test anxiety (okay maybe a little bit), but standardized tests are just not my forte

Does anyone know the questions for the Hesi exam is divided up?How many questions are for each section for TWU's Hesi? I'm taking my exam on Monday and I'm really confused. On Evolve.com their saying 50 minutes for most sections except the sciences, but Prometrics who are hosting the exam for TWU are only giving us 4 hours,so this isn't adding up.I know every school is different on what form of the test they get. Please reply ASAP is any info! thanks!

If I remember correctly, the math, reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary portions were all about 50-55 questions each (maybe 45 for one of them), but the A&P, biology and chemistry were 30 each. For that I was thankful.
