Tungsten E2 and getting it to work!

Hi...

After all the great help here I finally settled on the Palm Tungsten E2 and we're trying to set the darn thing up, we did plug in the cable to set up (step 2) and it's stuck there...the message on the palm screen says "complete setup before hotsync" but when you go to press the okay button nothing happens...(okay sometimes it beeps! :D)

Any ideas? Palm is not easy to reach, Best Buy is bouncing us around and perhaps we need to go there in person...sheesh technology!

did you run the full install CD on the computer before you hooked the pam up? Mine is an older model so it's set up was fairly easy, however one thing that my friend and i found out, her new one could not use a 2G card but mine could, go figure

No, according to the instructions it has to be charged or whatever for 3 hours first? should we try to run the cd first? Actually I just got back from exchanging it...geek squad said there was nothing they could do...nor did they try!

Any other tips for the more fun I'm going to be into? also...should we be trying to do this on my laptop vs DH older PC? does this make a difference? I'm computer illiterate!

I would do it off your laptop since that is most likely the computer you will be using to install other programs later, I have mine set so I can sync off either computer at the house

I got the E2 a few months ago. You do have to charge before setup. When you put the CD in it should automatically come up and walk you through. Guess what my CD was blank! I had to call (got the number off the website) and wait 5 days for them to send me a new CD. :angryfire
