Ado hope you both recover quickly

Stars hope today proves another productive one

Tweety hope you feel better

NJ22 glad you're feeling better

Dianah hope the appointment goes well

Yesterday was pretty good at work, not too busy but not too dull either. After work was pretty quiet, stopped by the grocery store and did some more packing

Today should be pretty ordinary at work, and after work too. Will do a bit more packing after work

Going to continue to be cool, mid 70s, some rain expected today

Kind of interesting to note that all the paper I put in for recycling is heavier that what I am going to have shredded...which tells me that folks who just toss everything into the shredding pile are wasting their money. (Aaaaaanndd, of course, IF ya do it all on line you don't have to deal with either 😂!)

BiL came over yesterday and we kind of reviewed all that was available to sell to the neighbor, IF he is so inclined to purchase it. If he takes EVERYTHING, it will still be about half the price or more than if he were to purchase it all new. I don't know his income or his budget, but I really hope he can take it all, because that will be MY money. Well, even if he takes SOME of it, it will still go into my pocket, but there's a LOT there that I know he could really use, and maybe his folks would be willing to help him out there. I know they bought the house for him. The word (phrase or expression) I was trying to think of the other day was "remittance man" .... the guy that is paid to stay AWAY from family.

Although I got a lot accomplished yesterday most of it was 'sitting down' stuff. I periodically looked at the calendar, worried some and then decided all that still needs doing is still possible within the time frame I have left.

So, I woke up earlier than I wanted to, thanks to the full bladder, but I couldn't seem to fall back asleep even though I gave it the good ol' college try. So, instead of hopping to it, I am still sitting here on-line seeing what I missed by not being on the laptop as much yesterday. Oh well! I will be getting up and dressed shortly because the bedroom is starting to get too warm. It is not going to have as high a temp outdoors as it was yesterday, which will be nice. I'll have to try getting in touch the neighbor who has offered to buy hubby's tools. I HOPE he can go for ALL of the stuff in the shed, but I don't want to get myself too psyched up about what he might be able to afford.

BiL is going to be making the slats for the bed-frame I will be packing in the POD, and a thinner sheet of plywood to go over them, to make sure it is sturdy enough to support the mattress, without the mattress sinking into the spaces between the slats.

My today's "JOURNEY" might involve packing away the stuff that will remain packed away and stored after I get down to 'Flow-ridia', and/OR setting aside the stuff that will go into my car for the drive I make down there on the 8th of Jewel-righ. Or maybe a little bit of both!

Stop dawdling, Stars!

Tawk whichoos laydah, prolly!

PS: I meant all the things in the shed will still cost WAAAY LESS than half of what It would cost if he bought it all new.

And a second PS: Once again my post will have to be reviewed before it is posted. 😃 I think I must be a favorite of the 'inspectors'!

It's just an automated flag on certain keywords or links rather than a personal thing. It just means that the system may have found something that is normally posted by spammers.

I know it's an inconvenience but it's better than getting thousands of junk posts in your favorite topics.

It's not an inconvenience. But, Joe, you just popped my bubble bay saying the truth, Geeze! 🤣

Good morning-ish

Joe hope today remains ordinary.

There was a power outage for a few hours due to some downed trees which sounds odd since there wasn't a storm. Maybe a landscaper or a dead tree. Anyway, I went to the gym and grocery store and power is back on. My house is pretty light.

We've been told many times why there is an automatic flag that renders posts needing mod approval, but I suppose maybe lurkers might need to hear it again, and it's no big deal, but please allow us to continue to complain. LOL

I've seen what happens when spammers overtake a discussion site. I'd rather be inconvenienced waiting for a post than go through that.

Waffles woke me up at 5:36 in the middle of an odd dream but a happy one. Forgot it now. I stayed up but made her wait until 6AM. On days I work I feed her at 5:30AM so she's confused.

I will spend the day doing some cooking for the days ahead and housework. Exciting times. Although cooking can be my happy time and it's not a chore.

Hello all!

My appointment went smoothly. VS WNL, ECG has a T-wave abnormality (that, as she reviewed, has appeared in the past, so it's NOT new), heart sounds good. We had a nice chat and then I was on my way home. When I got home, I parked my car, jumped into dh's car, and we drove over to pick up ds. Then we three had a very nice Vietnamese lunch. They had pho (soup) and I had sizzling vegetable/tofu dish. It comes with a yummy pickled cabbage salad. I also got an avocado smoothie (dessert, yanno!). And we had a nice chat with ds.

When we got home and settled, I lay down for a nap -- woke up almost two hours later!! Musta needed it! I will meet with T and S for a walk in about a hour. We'll walk and chat for an hour. Dh and I will have supper when I get home.

That's it for today! Have a good evening!

Yah, yep, nope~ I attacked the kitchen today: washed dishes, of course, about 3 days worth once again. (When I grow up I'm going to get a dishwasher!) Then I took everything out of the pantry ~ everything! All the out-dated stuff got emptied from cans, jars, boxes and containers; then, conscientious me, I washed out all of them so I could put them in the recycling bin. We're talking approximately 18+ things to empty and wash out. It seems that hubby would push things he wasn't interested in to the very back of the right side of the cabinet, where nothing got any attention, almost ever, because it wasn't visible back there, it wasn't anywhere near the cabinet door. So there it all sat, congealing, clotting, conglomerating, congesting and constipating away, until today. Solidified Cream of Whatever soups, Curry-'no-longer-sauce', lumpy S'ghetti Sauce, Beans, Spam, Chicken, Beef, Tuna, you name it, it was there. All I can say is....it's a blessing I don't have much of a sense of smell! But now I have the things that I will be able to transport in my car to my new residence, all lined up and ready to bag, so it won't be wasted like everything else was. It did take quite a bit of time, pretty much as long as it took BiL to mow the front and back yards.YOW!

Never heard from the odd neighbor about the tools in the shed. I did wave at him when he drove by. He probably didn't stop because he doesn't know BiL. I will at some point in the next few days tell him, if I can catch him in person, what day there will cease to be any time left to peruse the available things, if he even wants ANY of them!

I spent a lot of the evening looking at the Triptik from AAA, and it's a good thing I did, because some of the beginning of it, I can cut out and go straight out past where the KIA dealership is, and actually see where the route changes toward Harrisburg. AAA had me zigzagging from home to that point, not only un-necessary but confusing. I will have to go there before I leave so I can let them know to transfer my records to the dealership that is about a mile from where I will be living, and arrange about where the payments for the auto warranty will be coming from. There are several confusing road directions around Charlotte and then entering South Carolina, but once I get onto 77 I will drive for 102 miles or so, until I get on another route. There is road construction around Charlotte but it has NEVER been clear of construction since I first moved here! Then more road construction down in Georgia, where I will be driving 168+ miles, etc., etc, etc. Tweety, I am sure you are somewhat familiar with those roads. It is supposed to be a 6 + 1.2 hour drive in good traffic conditions. And I'm sure Tinker and I will have to stop and 'tink-L' along the way! I am not going to start out until the morning's commuting traffic has settled down when I go past Charlotte, hoping that might make a difference. (fingers crossed!)

I have yet to approach either bank about opening an acct in the same banks down there. I haven't rec'd the check from my sister yet, and the SS check isn't due for another week. I'm not sure what my balance is in the acct that feeds the debit card (I've been afraid to look!), and the acct balance in the other checking acct is dangerously LOW. But I will have some cash for gas, because my sister's check will come in a few days, and it will give me time to puff up both accounts and let me breathe easier before I leave. I need a CPA as well as a secretary!

But I did call and talk to the Financial Debt Relief place from whence my overdue payments are being taken care of. Hope to be out of all that by the end of November, if not earlier And I talked to my cell-phone provider to give them my new address and assure myself that I will not be absent of the ability to use my only source of "Contact-With-The-Outside-World' at any point in time. I can pay the upcoming bill a little early so I won't have to worry about the bill taking longer to be forwarded to my new address. I think it is kinda CRAZY that the post office doesn't give out individual change of address cards.

I have a Dr's appt early (EARLY!) in the morning and have to go to the pharmacy to get refills and let them know to send my records to the pharmacy in Fla. I also have to make an appt with the lawyer about changing my will! (dammit! No free advice by phone. Have to pay in-full for an appt which will probably last maybe 15 minutes, and it ain't cheap!)

Are y'all dizzy yet from all these "I gotta do this and do that"s? I sure am!

Anyway, thanks for bearing with me if I get kind of .... well, whatever it is I'm getting. A little nervous, yes. Apprehensive, yes. Trying hard to keep track of myself, yes.

Thankfully for y'all, I am going to stop here and go upstairs and try to go to sleep FAST because the appt is at 8 AM but I have to be there at 7:45 AM, a time at which I am generally fast asleep!

PHEW!!

Glad things are looking good cardiac wise Dianah. Don't you love those two hour naps.

Best friend caught the fatigue bug. He even tested for covid and was negative. Even though we had a covid patient, apparently transmission rates are low. There's typically a spike in the Summer.

I got three dishes cooked in the kitchen today for meal prep and am prepared with food for the next couple of days.

Sorry if I've sounded a bit witchy lately. I have been a bit irritable and tired but that's getting better.
