Hi, I'm an experienced peds nurse (2 years acute care), and I am applying to transfer to my hospital's PICU. I am fortunate that the Children's hospital I work at offers a 6 month of training for experienced non critical care nurses coming into PICU for the first time. While I love the acute care setting, I want to learn more, and feel that the PICU is somewhere that I would always be learning something.
Anyone have any advice for a PICU hopeful? :redpinkhe

You can read some of the many other threads that relate. There are five stickies (banded in pale green) at the top of the forum home page that will answer your questions, or perhaps stimulate some that haven't been asked yet. Best wishes.
