Travel Buddy

I lost my travel buddy to Love and Home-ownership last year and now I'm tired of traveling alone. Is anyone looking for a travel buddy!?!?! I'm 29 and a pediatric nurse currently looking for positions in Houston, however I'm open to other cities. any takers?

I'm currently in Houston until mid-April on a travel assignment by myself. This is my first contract and I am enjoying it so far. I work nights at Mainland Medical Center which is about 30 miles outside of Houston. I haven't met that many people here so far and I've been here for 2 mos now. That would be great if you took an assignment here!

that's funny I'm in houston now, well at the airport, I was in town taking a chemo class in Galvaston. Houston is not looking to good for me right now, a lot of the hospitals that had openings are now putting their needs on hold. Where are you trying to go next?

I just applied for my CA license so I was thinking about going there next but I am starting to get a little homesick so I may end up going somewhere closer to home (Charlotte, NC).

I am thinking about going to Cali for my next assignment. Would you pm me how much you were making there? I want to make sure the travel company I am with is being competitive in rates. Thanks!

Hey everyone.

I am seriously wanting to do travel nursing. I'm finishing my LPN to RN program in May. Most agencies are requiring me to work as an RN for a year before they will even consider me even though Ive been and LPN in peds for 5yrs!!!! >:( i guess its understandable. I would love to keep in contact with anyone wanting a travel buddy and maybe I can take my first assignment where you are. Traveling alone is the only thing that's putting a ? in the whole travel nursing idea. If anyone is interested respond back and maybe we can exchange info,

I am also interested in travelling. I have applied for my Cali license and am interested in Sac, Bay area, NoCal and San Diego, for next January 2012. OR is my specialty. Would love to find some travel buddies... I am open to other places around the country as well, and would love some advice about agencies. I have heard that travellers don't get paid what they used to...only slightly more than a staff nurses, is that true?

I am getting back into travel. Looking all over right now. Focus is on ICU @ a teaching hospital. Right now I am in Phx area.

I know this thread is two yrs old. But I am also looking for a travel buddy. Just wanted to follow up and see if any of you had luck with finding a buddy/travel nursing. Thanks!
